I had scallop salad and my husband had fish and chips. Both were so yum. The batter of the fish was so light. It was one of the very best in the UK without exaggeration. You must try!
Great variety of fresh seafood, quick and kindly served.Over looking the water was really great. We had the The Langoustines, crab burger and shrimp salad, couldn’t help my self and got a battered haddock and pistachio cheesecake to go ;p Quality. Defs dropping in again on our way to invergordon Heard they have music and events there… such Great back drop !
Amazing food, beautiful setting and friendly staff. If you're near Inverness I feel a visit to the Redshank is a must. I had the Cullen skink, it was nice thick with good chunks of potato and smoked haddock great flavour. Then I had Scallop and Black pudding softshell tacos, wow, packed to the rafters, cooked perfectly and so tasty. Been here twice now and felt the need to leave a 5* review every time. I just wish It wasn't over 100miles from my house
Just had a Haddock wrap, the combination of lovely fresh fish, tartare sauce , peas and salad was amazing. I can honestly say it was the best fish I’ve ever tasted.
Absolutely fresh and delicious food. I tried 5 different items on the menu and they were all fantastic. Great variety and it was nice to have so many light/healthier options rather than just deep fried fish (that was good too), the serving sizes were generous and the accompanying salads were incredible. I'm still thinking about the prawn salad and langoustines weeks later. 10/10 service, the staff were so friendly and helpful.
Based between the Victorian market and the marina red shank is a good place to come for fresh local seafood! Had the opportunity to try the selection in the newly upgraded Victorian market in Inverness city centre and it did not disappoint! Just fantastic and reasonable considering the quality. Lovely environment for those colder wet days and loads of space!
We had 4 Fish & Chips and it was superb! We’ve been travelling around the world and tasted many fish & chips and Kevin’s is the best . We had it in Los Angeles, NZ by the famous lakes, we had in Australia one of it next to Sydney harbour, we had it also in Bertie’s in Edinburgh but still RedShank is the best. Juicy fillet not fishy, not greasy but crispy and the tartar sauce is awesome. Not to mention also that Kevin is so friendly, kind, nice and loving. Eventhough we are just a tourist he treated us with care and kindness just like family. Scotland you have a gem here, a kind hearted Kevin! kindest regards, frm Malaysia ???????? will visit you again definitely.
Excellent little pop up style truck just off the A9. Had the Scallop Salad and the Haddock wrap, both were freshly cooked and delicious. Highly recommended!
